Just been diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and have been in hospital for observation of my symptoms for nearly a week. I’m not severely sick yet but doctors aren’t ready to send me home and have said that I will have to deliver my daughter early by c-section.
Currently 25+2 but baby is measuring in the 3rd percentile for weight and we’re guessing was about 590grams last scan. My family live far away and I’m the first of my friends to have a baby so feeling worried and out of control, though I’m being as positive as I can to everyone else around me, which is exhausting.
I’ve no idea what to expect, what to plan if Im sent home or stay in hospital until delivery. Can anyone tell me what things to sort out before delivery/what I might expect from NICU after I deliver?
