Giving baby expressed breast milk via bottle

Hi all,
My little boy had jaundice and hasn’t been able to latch on since. I’ve been exclusively pumping and giving breast milk via bottle.
I currently pump before/after every feed and have a decent supply.
We bag up the milk and store in the fridge, we then make up bottles for the day. We’re currently giving baby milk expressed 2/3 days ago.

How is everyone else feeding via expressed milk? Do you pump and bottle straight away? Do you store in the fridge and make up bottles as we do?

We are conscious of the fat settling and might change but worry about being able to pump on demand for him - any advice welcomed!!

I put my pumped milk in the fridge and when my husband has the baby while I'm at work he feeds her the milk stored In the fridge, the only time I really pump and give it to her straight away is if we're on an outing as she doesn't really like nursing in public too many distractions and she can't lay comfortably. As for the fat I use milk bags and I just massage the fat that settles and then shake to make sure it's all combined for her. And any milk that we haven't used yet but coming up to the 4th day I freeze so that it doesn't go to waste, or use it in her bath water. My supply dropped when I returned to work so having milk stored in the fridge really helped me out.

I was exclusively pumping (also bc of jaundice originally) and would always be 2/3 days ahead! So I’d make bottles as needed. I would try to give 1-2 bottles of milk straight from my expressed. Now I’m breastfeeding 50% of the time. So he gets fresh then he gets 2-3 day old milk in fridge. (And I pump when he gets a bottle)

Then everything left over 3 feedings from pumping that day, I freeze. Luckily I have a decent oversupply so I’m about to stash.

Thanks everyone! Feel much more reassured knowing people are doing similar things to us. I also thought we had to freeze it straight away but if we can freeze it after being in the fridge, we can do that. Thanks! X

I pump about every 2h and store in milk storage bottles, I make those bottles to the amount that she takes so when it is feeding time I can just grab the oldest one (usually about 2 days old) and put it straight into the bottle warmer

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?
