Is anybody’s one year old keep getting constipated from whole milk? My baby drinks about 16-24oz a day. We give her mirlax every day to help and she drinks plenty of water. Any recommendations that will help?

Apple juice by itself or in her water, my kid poops like 2-4 times a day.

I feel ya girl. I’m dealing with the same currently meeting regularly with a GI. Prior to turning one she had him on daily miralax, daily prunes/pears, daily probiotic and a special formula. Now that he’s one we started feeding a lot more solids and per the GI, ripple milk (pea milk). Sadly it was like starting back at square one so she had us go back to formula for a bit and he’s still having problems so it’s all the food even though he eats a lot of high fiber. No advice, just saying I feel your pain!

it’s normal. just up their water intake daily. apple/pear juice is also good for this. or prunes

We had really bad poops when we switched to the point she was crying and pushing too hard. We used apple juice, and pears. Also upped her fiber and gave her more fiber rich fruits. It took about 2 weeks for us to see a difference and now she poops normally! We also mixed some water into her milk to water it down a little when she had problems and she didn't notice a difference

curious what other fiber you are giving her via food? We’ve tried avocado, sweet potato and black beans on top of daily pears and prunes. But we also make some meals with cheese idk if that’s part of the problem

we did oats, strawberries, carrots and peas , applesauce too. We had to rotate so she wouldn't get a rash from all the acidic fruit

my baby was having the same problem a week ago i switched to goat milk and plenty of water and hes been doing fine ever since!
