Tummy Sleeping! Need Help!

Hello, I know I posted yesterday, but I need help. My daughter just learned how to roll back to tummy and can not yet roll tummy to back. At night, she wants to sleep on her tummy. She sleeps in a crib with just a tight sheet. Wearing Jammie and a sleep sack. I spoke to the doctor, and they told me not to allow her to sleep on her tummy since she is essentially "stuck" once she gets there. That means I will be up every 15-30 min checking the monitor at night to assure she is not on her tummy. Does that sound right? Should it be that concerning to allow her to sleep on her stomach? She lifts her head great and can turn it side to side. She also cries when she does get uncomfortable on her stomach to wake me.

I have also increased the amount of tummy time during the day, hoping she learns to roll tummy to back.

That sounds crazy to me, honestly! I would think the risks of you being that sleep deprived would hugely outweigh risks of sleeping on her tummy before she can roll back. Obviously back sleeping is safer...but it's not like stomach sleeping is instant death! It's a somewhat increased but still very, very low risk. When we were babies, the guidance was still to put babies to sleep on their stomachs (at least, if you were born before the early 90s lol).

Obviously it's your call, but I would 100% let her and yourself sleep!

Honestly my daughter been sleeping on her stomach 1.5 months old she’s always preferred it she’s currently 4 months and can move her head just fine and also does the same and cries when uncomfortable so i would 100% say it’s your discretion

My son sleeps on his tummy and he’s going to be 4 months soon. I was told that’s not safe but a friend of mine who has a 10 yrs old son told me he’s been sleeping on his tummy since day 3 when they went home from the hospital so I guess it’s alright

I was always told they were good to sleep in their stomach if they put themselves there 🤷‍♀️ mins doesn't roll tummy to back just yet and sleeps on her stomach... Way better sleep than on her back I might add. I guess it is up to you. I think that would be one piece of advice I wouldn't listen to my pediatrician on

Back sleeping is ideal but I know people whose babies slept on stomach pretty much since newborn phase and are completely fine. I think pediatricians always go with the safest recommendation, but it doesn’t mean there’s no other way. I’m sure babies will make it known if they are struggling, so as long as you are not a kind of sleeper who doesn’t wake up to baby’s cries I think it’s fine.

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!
