Nappy

What size nappy is everyone’s one LO in overnight? My LG’s nappy has started leaking again at night but she’s already in a size 7 at night. A size 8 (if they even make that size) would be huge on her so I don’t know what else to do. Poor girl is waking up cold and wet through

Have you looked into cloth nappies? We use them, but the innards are made up of things called boosters- you could boost a disposable nappy with a cloth booster which would add lots more absorbency! Cloth nappies uk on Facebook is a great site if you wanted more info. Also this might sound stupid but I didn’t know the plus on nappies (like 5+) means extra absorbency until last week 😅 so you could try those if you haven’t already?

Size 4 x

she’s 17 months, has always been really tall and on the 75th centile. But surely she can’t be a size 8 😂

this is a good idea! Thank you 💗 I’ll look into this! Maybe try a 7+ (if they make them) or put a cloth nappy overtop 💗

Size 8 pampers baby dry. He's in size 6 pampers active fit during the day so it's two sizes up but works well, hardly ever any leaks 👍the times he does leak I think it's because his sleepsuit was too snug and pulling on his nappy when he shifts about. He's a bit of a mover!

Pampers pants, red pack.Never had a leak. They come up quite big aswell. There is a nighttime version aswell but I’ve never had to use those.

Is she cold throughout the night? They can wee more at night time to keep them warm when they get cold x

My little one will be 17 months this weekend and she’s a Size 4 (we use ASDA nappies for daytime)

We use pampers night nappies for night time… as I never have to change her through the night since using these. Never had a leak and keeps LO dry too! They’re brilliant.

5+ Aldi and I change him once golf way through the night

I never knew this was a thing! That’s super interesting, thank you. She’s definitely not cold but I’ll pass this onto my friend!

I tried the Huggies night time nappies last night and no leak! She woke up so happy, hoping it wasn’t a one off but I’ll keep trying all your recommendations! Thanks everyone 💗

crazy isn’t it! The other thing I’d say would be if she wears a vest size up then that’s not adding extra pressure onto the nappy. We’ve only ever had leakage issues when she’s about to size up clothes. Glad you had a dry night! X

We use the Size 5 Pampers Premium Protection. We tried using the Pampers night nappies but she's leaked in them x

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

Baby with chronic congestion

Hi everyone! My 1 year has been a congested baby since birth almost. She breathes through her mouth so often that it wakes her up multiple times at night and she cries and screams and then struggles to go back to sleep. She wakes up every 1-3 hours and sometimes can’t go back to sleep for 2-3 hours!!! Piriton is the only thing that seems to help her sleep mostly through the night but I can’t keep giving her that!!
Does anyone have tips as to have I can do or give her? Has anyone experienced? I have no idea when I’ll get an ENT appointment and I have no idea what he can give a 13 mo :( we are desperate for sleep so any tips are welcome!! We have tried steam inhalation, saline drops, vapour rubs and everything off the counter basically!

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?
