23rd percentile

Hello! I had my anatomy scan at 20 weeks, 6 days & the baby was 12 oz. The doctor mentioned he’s in the 23rd percentile (he was in the 90th percentile two months ago).
The doctor said he wasn’t concerned as I’m petite & babies go through growth spurts and scheduled my next ultrasound after 4 weeks.
Im taking aspirin and blood thinners since I had a stillborn at 25 weeks last year that had growth restriction 💔 Ive been very worried and was wondering if anyone has been through or heard about anything similar? Thanks🤍

With my anatomy scan I was at 20 weeks and some days and my baby was 13 ounces and they didn’t say anything about it being an issue. Just try to relax and eat good nutritional foods and you should be fine. With my first pregnancy I don’t remember what my son weighed but they just sent me to do growth scans every few weeks so if you’re concerned you could ask your dr if that’s an option just for some extra reassurance

23rd percentile is nothing to worry about. Baby is still within the normal range. It’s really below 2.5% and above 97.5% that’s “abnormal”. I understand going from 90th percentile to 23rd percentile is a little nerve wracking with your history. However, the in utero weight measurements are not very reliable. I know it’s hard but try your best not to stress and focus on other ways to see how baby’s doing like kicks if you can feel them and watching your bump grow!
