Measuring ahead

At my 13 w 3 day scan the tech said I was measuring at 14 weeks. Anyone else have this issue?

It’s happened to me twice! I went to the er measuring 12 weeks and 3 days but it turns out I was 12 weeks 5 day after the ultrasound. Then I went back last week due to some bleeding and was supposed to be 14 weeks and it turns out I was 14 weeks and 3 days!

I was 12w5d and my baby is measuring at 13w so 2 days ahead of me yesterday at my ultrasound. I will be 13 weeks tomorrow.

I was measuring 3 days ahead at my 10 week scan! I have my 12 week on Friday and can’t wait to see how I’m measuring now!

Do y’all think it’s an issue? Or a sign of any abnormalities? My tech said it’s normal but I’m an over thinker

@Olivia It's normal.

@Olivia mine said the same thing and I had the same feeling but what eased me was knowing they’d tell me if anything was a negative abnormality whereas ours could just be growing a little bigger faster. I know for a fact when I got pregnant but the measurements are off.

So when this happens does your due date change? I’m curious to know.

@Janaé mine did. My original due date was April 14th and now it’s April 9th. Your due date may change a few times while you’re pregnant what I’ve been told and it’s normal!

@Janaé when mine was off 3 days, they said that was normal margin and they didn’t change the “official” due date. Based on the measurement I’m 4/28 but based on dates I’m 5/1

@Janaé my mfm dose not like it when the ultrasound techs change the due date so mine stayed the same. Based off the dates I am due 4/24 but based off my measurements my due date is 4/22. But my due date is staying the same so 4/24.

I've wondered if the baby is measuring bigger than the due date because they're going to be a tall baby? I measured 4 days ahead last time and they said they won't change my due date unless the baby measures 1 to 2 weeks ahead and that it's normal to measure ahead by a few days

@Cayla My due date is 4/22! But I think the date 4/24/24 looks so cool lol

I did my first ultrasound at 12 weeks on the dot. They had baby measuring at 12w4d. Makes sense for it to be off by a couple days since the estimated due date is based on our menstrual cycle, but the actual conception/ovulation date may not be known.

@Olivia it’s normal. My twins are measuring 5 and 6 days ahead and I literally tracked ovulation so I know the 48 hour period they were conceived. I also got the genetic testing and they came back perfect. Don’t stress 💖

@Lacey MINE IS APRIL 9th!!!!!
