7 week old excessively chewing on his hands

My LO has been doing that with his fingers too even after I have fed him. I even put mittens on his hands and he still puts it in his mouth.

@Joedeann I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm half tempted to see if I can teach him to hold his teether and chew on that instead but I have my doubts that I'll succeed since the only thing he can hold are my fingers.

My little guys is 8 weeks and does the same .. loves those hands .. and makes so much noise while chewing on them

I gave mine a pacifier and he just spits it out and put his fingers in 😫
I think maybe he’s comforting himself because sometimes I would hear him start crying and then I don’t hear the crying anymore, when I check on him his fingers are in his mouth and he’s calm sometimes put himself to sleep, so I don’t know.

I was gonna say the same thing as Aisha. This is completely normal. Your baby just discovered their hands! Mine is at the very same stage.

my baby does that too now! he’ll even suck on his arm at times and it’s so loud 😳 good to know i’m not the only one!
