Just wanted to share how I achieved the best night sleep I've had since having my baby.

I know every baby is different so this might not work for everyone. Or maybe others are doing the same and I am late figuring it out. So I have been using baby sleeping bags. I don't know how other people's fit their baby, but there was a bit of room either side of her body for my baby. Last night I put a new one on that was so tight that she couldn't move her legs side to side. It has room in the bottom for her to grow though. But I put her in it and she tried to wriggle her legs and found she couldn't. Her body seemed to relax and she spit her dummy out. I waited for her to fuss because she didn't have her dummy (she always has to sleep with a dummy or she'll wake up) but she went to sleep and didn't stir once all night. I checked on her a few times to make sure she was breathing but she was fine. I woke up this morning and found her in the same position she fell asleep in, no dummy, no fussing or thrashing around or making weird little noises. I would highly recommend buying a really tight sleeping bag for anyone who hasn't yet. She slept 12 hours (although some of this was downstairs with us before we went to bed) She is a good sleeper already because she doesn't wake for milk but the dummy situation has been driving me crazy, she spits it out in the night and won't settle until I find it for her again. Sometimes it's twice every hour. Hope this helps someone else.

This is amazing! My little boy sleeps through too but stirs for his dummy from about 4ish. Drives me mad as I’d rather be just wake for a feed and go back to sleep 🤣 xx

dummies are a blessing and a curse aren't they. She's been so reliant on it that I was starting to worry what was going to happen when I eventually have to wean her off it x

thanks for the recommendation! I was just thinking I definitely want to buy some more tightly fitting ones now so that's really helpful x

We put our Bae in a bag two days ago and he’s slept like a dream!!! Defo recommend I think ours is also warmer cos he always used to kick off his blankets

sorry I’m confused (it doesn’t take much!) what attachment is it in the picture that wraps baby in tighter? Xx

you’re welcome! I bought a set of 3 on Vinted for like £10! Xx

no worries I didn't realise what it was at first. You see the bit that sticks out the side underneath the right arm strap? It's just a small attachment that clips around the back and makes it a tiny bit tighter on the chest. Hope that makes sense x

omg no way!! I have these sleeping bags that have those attachments and I didn’t realise that’s what it’s for! Baby brain is still present clearly 🤣 thank you for that xxx

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7
