To anyone struggling to harvest colostrum, you’re not alone!❤️

I was really really struggling to express any colostrum, I tried for days and didn’t get anything not even a glisten, midwife said I was doing it right, I was following all the advice I’ve seen on here and on the sheet provided by midwife but I just couldn’t get it. I was getting so disheartened and frustrated with myself, and I just thought maybe I didn’t have any or my body couldn’t do this it, but seeing how easy some of you ladies were able to do it just made me more determined. I was Googling endlessly, and found this video and I’m not sure why but this technique helped me so much. Nothing else I had read had said to squeeze slowly and keep the pressure there until drops come out, so I had a shower, did a hot water bottle, stuck the vampire diaries on and tried again following this video (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eAYE0Vx3bYE) and over three small sessions yesterday I managed to get 0.7ml (0.2ml first which took the longest, then 0.3ml a few hours later, and another 0.2ml before I went to bed). I know it’s not much but I am so so happy and proud of myself. Every few mins I’d check the syringe for air bubbles, tap them out and by the time I’d done that I’d get another couple drops out of one boob before moving on to the next.

Just wanted to post to say if you’re struggling, please don’t stress, and there is hope, and it could just be a case of finding the right technique for yourself. But if nothing is working still just a reminder that that is also completely normal, and it doesn’t mean you won’t have a supply once baby is here. You got this ❤️❤️❤️

Omg thank you so much for sharing this! I've only been able to collect 0.2ml over a few sessions lasting at least half an hour. This method has worked wonders and I've managed 0.4ml in about 20 mins. Thank you!

I understand, it’s definitely frustrating having to work so hard for it knowing that lots of people don’t have that struggle 😩 I just keep reminding myself my body has never ever done this before, and every little bit is special! The more we do it the more our body will get used to it and it’ll get easier ❤️

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
