My son has two teeth so far, but he’s started biting every time I nurse! The anxiety of it has started affecting my let down, this morning I couldn’t even feed him. What should I do? I’m considering weaning even though I’ve loved breastfeeding and was hoping to get to a year. Any advice is much appreciated!

I don't know if you've tried it, but I let out louds "ouch!" Or small cries, not too loud but enough to surprise her (my previous baby) and make her stop. She needed one louder one and then she didn't do it again. She did it 3-4 times before she stopped.

Same. If I tell them "ouch" and unlatch for a moment, they try 3-4 times again, but then they get it and stop.

My little guy bites me sometimes too, I would say "ouch!" Sometimes i can't help it when its loud because he would bite very hard but it makes him stop. I also look at him straight in the eye and say "no, you do not bite mommy!" Seems to work lol 😅

My son has 8 teeth, and he started getting them pretty early at just before 4 months. At first he had to learn how to navigate those chompers, so when he latched on I would try to control the latch and push my nipple a little bit past where his teeth sit, so he got a little more areola in his mouth. If he bit I would say ouch unlatch him with my finger and try again. Eventually he figured out that he didn’t need his litte teefs to nurse and stopped clamping down on my nipple. Took a couple of weeks, but it got a lot better. If that happens every time, try to unlatch and try controlling the latch, and maybe eventually baby will learn.
I’ve tried ouch, no, and no biting and he laughs 😂😭. But hopefully he will learn.
