And how old are they / how much do they weigh?
I asked what min amount she should have for her weight and now I'm obsessing over it and getting frustrated if she doesn't finish a bottle or hit the 'minimum' target because I am scared it means she will lose weight!

Try not to obsess too much, as long as she has wet and dirty nappies. ☺️
I’m breastfeeding and have no clue how much she is getting but just have to trust that she is okay going off the nappies. Xxxx

My boy is 2.5 months and around 14lb. He was a chunk at birth. He has between 2.5-5oz per feed and has 7-8 feeds a day. Can be anywhere from 20-25oz over the whole day.
It entirely depends on how they’re feeling at the time. Sometimes ravenous, sometimes just an ounce will do. If your baby is making wet and dirty nappies and putting on weight I wouldn’t worry about them finishing a bottle or hitting a target amount, but it is hard to get the numbers out of your head to begin with.

my girlie is 2.5 months too and exactly the same! Unsure of her current weight but she goes between 2-6oz just depends on how she’s feeling. We also notice if she’s needing a poop she will drink less. And if she’s having a sleepy day she’ll also usually have less. Just wants enough to nod off. My HV encouraged baby led feeding so just let the baby decide how much is enough and if they seem like they want more, give them more. Takes a while to get a sense of their feeding pattern but we love it. I usually just make a 6oz bottle and see how she gets on. If she wants fed soon after a feed then I’ll make a 4oz and yeah sometimes she just wants a wee ounce to go to sleep. Sometimes she’ll have it all if it’s a hungry day! As everyone’s said, as long as you have plenty dirty and wet nappies and your HV is happy with weight then you’re grand! I’m saying this knowing I fully stress about it too lol but I think that’s just part of being a Mum 😅💛

exactly! They’re very much like us in the sense that sometimes we don’t want a lot of food, sometimes we could eat loads. I mentioned it during his 6-8 week check and even the doctor said it was normal for him to be a variable feeder as long as he’s getting what he wants. It’s so hard to know what’s right and what isn’t with the first one isn’t it! And you’re right, being a mum just means we stress about everything!

I find this difficult as someone who exclusively pumps because it’s hard trying to work out what to feed my little guy, he generally eats 100ml of the expressed milk per feed and has between 6 and 8 feeds a day and gains consistently
