Pessary

Has anyone recently had the pessary fitted and within an hour experienced cramping?

I had the pessary put in at 4:30pm today and I’m experiencing cramps (nothing too painful) and wondering if this is normal?

Also would love to hear any positive pessary induction stories if anyone wants to share ☺️

I had a pessary with my first baby and experienced cramps but they were light contractions x completely normal, you'll probably expect to see your mucus plug soon

Thanks ☺️ how long did it take for you to go into labour? X

Yes a bit of mild cramping but nothing major, it wasn't until they put me on the monitor after the second one they seen I was having strong contractions, midwife kept coming in to ask if I needed pain relief, I was fine until the next night after the 4th one ( they were able to break my waters after the 3rd one but wanted to see what another one would do), I was ill and needed a bit of pain relief. I found heat packs worked wonders for the pain.

Ive had two pessary inductions, both had the same results. Contractions after 6 hours then progress very quickly within 30 mins and natural births. No tears. X

No beds were available the next day 😫 so it wasn't tuntil 4 days later I was only dilated 2 cm and had my waters broken and put on pitocin, every body is different though my labour was super slow

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
