My LO is just over 4 weeks old and for the past week he has been really unsettled from around 6 till 8 or 9pm. He isn’t inconsolable crying just appears extremely overtired and unsettled and fights with his bottles. I was worried it might be colic as my eldest had it around his age and it was awful but seems different. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, mine LO (6 weeks) is similar. I am quite busy at this time with cooking, so I put him in the sling and keep busy, and he fals asleep there. He loves the sound of the cooker hood. The noisier, the better 😉

My little girl is 7 weeks and is the same! Every night for the past week between 7pm-9/10pm 🙈 It's exhausting! I've just had a battle with her this evening and we try everything to soothe her to no avail! I was thinking colic too but she seems to get her wind up fine. X

Our little girl is 5 weeks and we are having the same thing. We are using colic drops and that has helped a little bit x

My little boy has been the same for a little over a week and we tried everything! I spoke to our hv last week and she recommended speaking to the gp and we have had some new milk prescribed for him and it's calmed him down massively, we now have a 15 minute battle instead of a 3 or 4 hour one. Xx

My LB is the same and he’s 10 weeks. He’s been like it since around 4 weeks as well. He went through a week of sleeping at that time but we’re now back to being unsettled x

I have just gone through this and someone mentioned it could be cluster feeding. I was following quite a regimented feeding timetable due to initial weight loss so didn't think about that. Now I go by her demands and she seems to have settled more. I have also seen that week 4 is a major developmental stage which is another reason why baby can be so demanding. They say to focus on sensory activities
