Hi everyone. My hospital for some reason refused to put one in during the c section and didn't say it would be an option to have one within 48 h pp although this seems to be a thing according to the NHS website https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/contraception/when-contraception-after-baby/
I need to have a mirena IUD in ASAP to try to prevent my endometriosis coming back. GPs are clueless about endometriosis and I won't get an appointment with the endometriosis Centre for months (in the UK) so I plan to just get an appointment at a family planning centre for the 4th week pp.
I had an emergency section but never got to pushing stage so slightly worried the insertion will be even worse than before I had the baby as my vagina was not stretched.
FYI the family clinic will have me speak to a doctor before getting the IUD anyway so I'm not worried about not waiting for my 8 week check. I need to not let my endometriosis come back!!!
Also feeling fed up as got a UTI now, will be 3 weeks pp tomorrow 🙏. Thank god little man is so so cute. Looking at him is a painkiller.
Does anyone have any positive experiences to share? Thanks in advance!

Nope got mine at 6 weeks after my C section

Got mine 6 weeks pp after my csection. They didn't give me an option before then

Got mine 8 weeks after my c section you have to allow you body to heal your body just can't respond to the hormones of the coil that early because your still heavily contacting the muscles around the time so having a coil fitted that early it can mess your body up I get the whole endometriosis but the iud is something that can effect you body negatively if introduced too early 💕
