I prefer to bottle feed pumped milk for the late night/early feeds so that the feeding session is quick and we can go back to bed soon. At that time ( Between 1 am and 4 am) I find it takes too long to go down the stairs to the refrigerator take out bottle warm it. My LO is pretty mad and wants food ASAP. I was wondering how long can I keep pumped breast milk out of refrigerator (not freezer). P.S I looked up online and it talks about frozen or fresh breast milk but not refrigerated)

i believe it’s an hour but after that you can’t reheat it or drink it

I’ve read 2 hours after pulled out of fridge and/or suckled on

You can keep refrigerated milk for 6 days. I keep my pumped milk in a mason jar and pour as much as I need into a bottle to warm up

I’ve always done up to 4 hours after I take it out of the fridge if I haven’t warmed it, that’s what my doctor told me was okay

No longer than 4 days in the fridge and no longer and 4 hours outside of the fridge.

4 hours at room temp

After taking it out of the fridge I keep it for up to 4 hours. If baby starts drinking and doesn’t finish it, I keep it for only 2 hours. Hope this helps!

I think it’s 2 hours once you take it out of the fridge. 4 hours at room temp is only for freshly pumped milk

I read somewhere 2 hours when you take it out of the fridge so that's what I go by.

this is very different from the instructions by Medela, online. CDC guidelines are also different.

My question was for refrigerated milk which is excluded in most websites etc. I assume leaving out duration would depend on room temperature also; if it is left out in house in cold location I assume 4 hrs is ok

I feel like it’s impossible to know what’s “right” because everything is different 🤦♀️
