I know that it’s suggested to only take after 39 weeks / past due date.
I know a lot of women have had luck with this but at the same time, the other half just ended up having to run to the bathroom or become nauseous.
Tomorrow I’m 39 weeks and am thinking of trying it to induce labor .. I’m just in so much pain already with my ribs and sleeping is uncomfortable with my crazy heartburn as well. Im very much over being pregnant.
I’ve already tried everything else.. drinking raspberry leaf tea daily, eating dates daily, doing exercises on the pregnancy ball, having sex, etc.
Any thoughts ?

I’ve only heard people saying it causes diarrhea and vomiting. Based on your rib pain and heartburn I don’t think your baby has dropped into your pelvis yet and I don’t think midwives brew can do that for you. I’d do a ton of sumo squats, curb walking, and stay on your birthing ball. Maybe try the miles circuit or spinning babies too. If you do try midwives brew make sure you stay super hydrated
that is such a good point thank you!! Because I was definitely curious if it would be useless since baby hasn’t dropped yet.. just so impatient 😅 will definitely look into those exercises, thank you!

With my last pregnancy I took it because my water broke at 38 and a half weeks and nothing was progressing. I took the brew and my contractions started maybe an 1 hour later.
I’m pregnant again and I’m almost at 40 weeks. If baby doesn’t come at 40 weeks, I’m taking it.
I’ve been walking, bouncing and all the stuff to see if I can go into labor without it so we will see what happens.

What is midwife brew??

I’ve read potential bad things about using castor oil, so I wouldn’t personally do it. Not worth the risk to baby after all of this struggle
