Is anyone not planning on breastfeeding for whatever reason & made to feel like such a bad parent?! I HATE the term ābreast is bestā as midwives / people are so lovely and understanding if you say āoh I tried to breastfeed and couldnātā but the moment you say āI donāt want to breastfeed/ I donāt plan on breastfeedingā itās a massive issue.. surely as long as your baby is fed, breast or formula it really doesnāt matter!

I was planning on but have split up with my fella 2 weeks before due date.He lives a 40 min drive away so it just wont work now as he wouldnt be able to take the baby on his own unless i go or pump which isnt as easy and they say u cant for a month anyway.
I only bottle feed my first he wouldnt take to it & i had just had an emergency c-section so felt like i had been run over & didnt want anything else expected of my body.
Obviously breast is better but screw what others think.
I felt that judgment & pressure too.

I never wanted to breastfeed and no one made me feel bad up until i was giving birth. My labour midwife at Broomfieldās was horrible, she asked me how i was feeding and i said formula, she then asked me why? And i said i did not want to and would never be comfortable with it. She then laughed at me and said something else that was rude. At that point i was in mid labour, i had a very traumatic birth so was very ill. I so wish i had complained but im 16months too late for that. But if anything like that happens to you then please say something/complain. Other than that one woman, every other midwife was lovely and never felt pressured x

I never really wanted to breastfeed, I felt bad too when they were talking about how good breast is for baby, but I just didnāt feel comfortable and also as bad as it sounds, babies tend to sleep longer with bottle feeding, and I love my sleep. My baby sleeps 12 hours straight and has done since 3 months, so was lucky. But completely understand the health benefits but I just didnāt want to š. You do whatās right for you hun x
