Hey! So I’ve successfully stopped breastfeeding my 14 month old non stop at night (never thought it would happen), go me! 😅💪🏼
We still co sleep and he’ll usually nod off next to me, but when this doesn’t work, I just leave him alone for 5 mins crying and he’ll nod off after that.
He now sleeps pretty much through the night, sometimes just wakes up once and I give him some warm cows milk if he wants it.
However, he does seem to wake up every day between 5-6am, still very tired, but can’t go back to sleep. I’ve tried milk, I’ve tried rocking him to sleep, I’ve even tried leaving him to cry for 5 mins again. Latter worked for about 5 mins but after that he woke up crying again 💔 any ideas? I usually end up getting up with him and having breakfast but I can tell he’s still very tired.
It’s only been about a week and half since completely stopping breastfeeding, could he just still be getting used to it?
Thank you 🙏🏼

How did you do it i cant seem to wean off my daughter (15months) it seems like she want is more now 😩

Yes he is defiantly still getting use to it, give him a little more time he will adjust! Good job to both of you👏🏽

honestly I’m so proud of myself I never thought it would happen either! Does your little one co sleep with you or in the cot? Mine co sleeps, so I was putting him in the cot (as he’d climb off the bed) then leaving the room for 5-15 mins to brush my teeth etc, he’d cry hysterically which was really hard but then when I come back by the 2nd time he’d let me hold him and be happy just laying on my chest/ in my arms and not try get up or have milk anymore! He only woke up once in the night the first few days which was the longest stretch id ever had, so the hardest part was just pushing thru the crying bless him ❤️ but it’s worked for us! You can message me if you have anymore questions x

thanks I hope so 🥺🙏🏼
