So I don’t know the solution to this problem. Baby has outgrown the next to me, he is thrashing and waking himself up every 20-30 mins in jt. Last night was next level- awake every 30 mins. Not sure if sleep regression is partly to blame.
Anyway, would you- move baby to own room and sleep on an airbed in their room, move baby’s big cot to your room, move baby to own room and see how are they are or leave baby in next to me and see if sleep regression passes?

Is he waking up from hitting the sides or just general thrashing waking himself up? If I thought it was from waking self up from hitting sides of next to me I’d just move big cot into my own bedroom and see how he gets on. If he starts to sleeps through again, move it back to their room with a monitor etc in place.
Though If it is from a regression and not from waking hitting sides, this age is longest lasting one I’ve ever experienced in all of my children. Anywhere from a few weeks to a couple months so I’d wait it out as long as possible with them as close as possible to my own bed to make the constant waking slightly easier.
I’ve dropped the side of my next to me back down and have it against my bed again like newborn days to help get through it. Good luck 🤪 x

Does your next to me not extend? Travel cot in your bedroom if you’ve got the room x

I would probably say cot in your room as best option, then airbed in their room as next option. That's if you want to continue sleeping in the same room as baby. I would also be inclined to say the regression is partly causing the issues here so don't be disheartened if the cot is not a complete fix x
didn’t even know that was a thing! We have a tutti bambini cozee and it doesn’t extend as far as I’m aware!

We have the same my husband said it extends x

Oh wait Did you get the XL? X
both I think! I’m not ready to have him away from me yet but just can’t settle on what is best as we can’t have nights like last night, no one will be happy if we do!!
We’re also teething and have a cold to add in to the mix 😅
no just the regular! The only thing that moves is the height on it 😫 x

I have the same next to me and have the same problem. When we come up to bed he wakes etc so I think we'll be moving him into his own room soon. We don't have space at the moment for anything bigger in the room and I feel bad that he's struggling in the next to me so much! Someone estimated him to be 9 months today and the next to me suits up to 6 months 😂

I’ve put our baby in his own room he is 4.5 months old and has been in there for a week. We had the same problem, he wanted to sleep but was waking himself up. He now sleeps in his own room from 7.30pm - 6am, bottle and back down until 7.30 am. He sleeps much better and it shows in the day as well, he is a lot happier. I have the baby monitor on right next to me and he is in a sleeping bag with nothing else in the cot x

We have the same next to me and think our daughter is outgrowing too! We’re going to move her big cot into our room for a while until she’s a little older! 😊

Ive got LOs cot in our room, but it all depends on what room you have to deal with. We are lucky that we have been able to wiggle stuff around and got it in x
So update from tonight- he slept much better in the next to me, still woke 3/4 times but nowhere near last night level so I’m thinking sleep regression rather than space. I’m going to wait for the regression to pass and then move him to his cot in his room and I’ll do a transitional week or two on the airbed for him then have him on his own. That should see us to the 6 months mark! X
