It took me about 6-7 weeks to where I wasn't in pain all day. I wasn't getting enough protein so it took me awhile for my scar to heal. It reopened at 10 weeks PP doing body weight exercises.

i'm interested in the responses here too, I had my baby 3 weeks 3days ago and i am still so sore! i only stopped taking diadcodine yesterday as couldn't manage my pain without it, down to paracetamol and ibuprofen now and still feel like i'm really hurting. I hope your ok Samantha, sending love and hopefully a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

I’m 5 months pp now - I started to feel more mobile around week 4 and came off my pain meds around then too. Still had some tugs and discomfort (eg when walking far etc) until around 6-7 weeks. By the time baby was 2 months, I felt back to myself 😊

Thanks for your responses! I have stopped taking painkillers but I am on my second infection so think that may be slowing the recovery down! I can feel it is getting better but I also know that I am pushing it sometimes!

I’m 6 weeks pp and I stopped feeling pain around 3 weeks and was more of left completely mobile. I have had an infection which I’m on antibiotics for but still no pain

I'll be 3 weeks post partum tomorrow, pain wise I'm okay. Its just the soreness that I can feel on my tummy above scar. Otherwise physically I'm okay! Just looking forward to the go ahead for excercise, so I can get some of my muscle tone back.

I’m nearly 4 weeks pp and feel fine pain wise. Although I don’t think I had much anyway I was just numb for a long time and still feel quite numb now. I have an infection tho 😫

I stopped meds at day 5, I am almost 4 weeks post and pain free unless I twist in a certain way and I get a twinge but I wouldn’t say pain x

Sorry to jump on this can I ask about bleeding ? I’m 2 weeks post c section and still bleeding I’m so fed up of it. Is it normal to still be bleeding ?

Avatar

I was bleeding up to 3 weeks and a bit. It does get better!!

Avatar

I’m 6 weeks pp and it’s just starting to ease up. It can continue for up to 12 weeks

Avatar

Im 2 weeks pp and not needing any pain relief unless having a long day out, a bit sore around that area but manageable

Avatar

I am almost 4 weeks post c section and have little to no pain, taking the odd paracetamol...have only been taking paracetamol over the last week and was alternating pain killers up until 2 weeks maybe?

I bled a lot in the first few days after section, stopped for a while and then restarted off and on since then but it's very light now...its normal to bleed for up to 6 weeks after any labour

Avatar

My lower tummy still feels weirdly numb and tender but aside from that I feel myself!

Avatar

can i ask all of you that are feeling no pain did you have a planned section? I was in labour for 26 hours 72 hours altogether having contractions and my uterus ruptured so had to have an emergency section, i think it depends on your situation as well as to how quickly you heal and become pain free! xx

Avatar

I'm 2 weeks post partum and have a toddler too. So I'm still taking regular painkillers to feel human/function normally. I only get a lot of pain if I've been particularly active that day. It more feels bruised than the pain I originally had

Avatar

I bled and spotted until 12 weeks PP 🙄🙄 it was ridiculous lol

Avatar

2 weeks 2 days pp emergency section. Pain if I’ve done too much round the house or sat up for too long. Managed to kick the codeine as was making me constipated but still taking paracetamol and ibuprofen round the clock! Desperate for a hot bath but planning on that when 4 weeks PP as worried I won’t get myself out the tub 😂

I’m 4 weeks and 2 days post C section and I’m finally pain free!
belly doesn’t feel numb anymore. I’ll get the odd twinge but I’m starting to feel like myself again

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia

Hey what are your current symptoms?

I’m 37+5

I’m pretty mobile still but anything over a hour or 2 and I’m in discomfort

Getting up from a sitting position is hard

Some of baby’s movements now are bordering on painful especially around my crotch/pelvis

I’m exhausted very easily and nap every single day

Can basically only breathe out my mouth now and I’m snoring and dribbling 😂

Standing in one leg is very painful 😂

Some waves of pain/ tightening but I regular and mild

Low period type aches

And I feel like a fire breathing dragon with this acid reflux

My nose is growing 😂

My fingers swell slightly and go numbs in my sleep so that and constant toilet breaks keep me up ( checked swelling with MW and consultant and all normal, not a worry)

I also do not want to be social in person like I’d rather everyone just be my penpal atm lol

What are your symptoms?

Planned c section

Has anyone had a planned c section and been home the same day?

I have a feeling like I might get attacked from this but I’m going to say it anyways. incognito 🥸 GLP1s being mainstream for regular people who are NOT diabetic or morbidly obese is bad for so many reasons 💉💉💉

Side affects, long term dependency, supply shortages and costs, regaining the weight back as soon as you get off them.. all that ASIDE how do people not see just from a zoomed out perspective how crazy it is. I can’t imagine being someone facing food insecurity in an underdeveloped country and watching westerners give themselves daily jabs so they can lose weight while still eating a calorie surplus/ crappy foods. It’s giving hunger games when district 12 Katniss finds out at the party at the capital that people eat and then take a pill to make themselves sick so they can 🤮 and eat some more. These ads running ozempic everywhere are disgusting, and then getting amazing athletes like Serena Williams to push them talking bout “i’ve never been healthier” girl you were an OLYMPIC athlete wym??

Getting pregnant after c section

When did you get pregnant again after a c section? Our plan was always to have 2 under 2 but that is now out the window because I had an emergency section. I know they say 18 months and we will be sticking to it (as much as I don’t want to) but I’m curious how quickly you got pregnant after your section?
