I had an emergency c- section 12 weeks ago and I’m still struggling and grieving the birth I expected. The entire experience was very traumatizing. I don’t want pills and I’m having a hard time finding a therapist. Does anyone have any tips or anything that helped them get through this?

honestly it takes time to get over the trauma and expectations. I remember i was so down and felt like a failure for not being able to have a natural birth. Try just take each day at a time and speak to someone (friend family) or even just write it down. This will be over soon ♥️

The darker the night the nearer the dawn. Hope the spring will come to you soon after the winter … just live and life will get better soon 💖💪
I learnt that sometimes bad things happen so I can be stronger and even happier with life …

If you ever need someone to talk to feel free to message me. I’m in the same boat at the moment. 12 weeks since I had a really traumatic birth and emergency c-section and it’s so hard to come to terms with. I’ve found talking to other people really helpful xx

I’m right there with you! It’s extremely traumatizing, nobody prepares you for that possibility. My kids 10 months old and I still struggle with it from time to time. The only thing that helped me was focusing on my kid. Sometimes crying about it too bc that’s the only way you can let it out when it’s too much!

I also had an emergency section 11 weeks ago. I called birth reflections at the hospital on Thursday last week and they called today gave me appointment for 2nd December, so we can go through everything and what May of caused it to happen xx

Also consider the result mama, you had your baby you waited 9 months for! That's the most important thing, he or she is here safe because of you and your strong amazing body! If you choose to have another child you can always do a VBAC at the doctor’s discretion. I did. Also keep taking those prenatals and talk with your doctor to see if there's medicine you can take to help you, just until your hormones balance out. I just had a baby 5 months ago. It was VERY hard up until about 3 months that's when I felt myself turning the corner. You've got this and I know you're an amazing mama!
