Anyone else with a velcro baby starting to worry about their milestones?
My 11 week old isn't really showing any signs of rolling, probably because we don't have much opportunity to practice it and tummy time is a challenge as he usually just screams unless he's on me.

My 10 week old isn't a velcro baby (until nap time) but she's very lazy when it comes to tummy time. She usually doesn't lift her head at all then today out of the blue she just fully lifted it and held it up 😂 so I wouldn't worry too much.. I remember my first born just suddenly learning to roll in 1 day too.

I have a velcro baby and Ive got it where he will lie on his playmat for about half hour and will twist about from one side to the other, but thats took work. Ive had to change wet nappies on there, get him dressed on there & let him cry before he accepted it. He will now also sit in his bouncer & swing chair if i have it directly in front of me & i make sure he can hold toys. Hes very intelligent but its a battle for him to be off my person for longer than 30 minutes x

thank you, that makes me feel a lot better! Mine does lift his head up a lot when he's on one of our chests but not a lot when he's on the playmat. The rolling thing, he just has very little opportunity to ever do it since he's always in his arms. I'm trying to remember to encourage it when I change his nappy

that's good going! We've only managed 2 mins on the playmat so far today 😫 same, ours is really alert and seems really on it but just isn't getting the opportunities to practice these things since he's always on us! X

I just had to google "velcro baby" I've never heard this before!
I don't have a Velcro baby but my little man loves tummy time if he can see himself so I put a mirror in front of him, also I put him on a foil blanket, great bit of sensory at the same time x

I love it because it's so true 🤣 he has a mirror hanging down on the baby gym which he likes and tried tin foil today and he loved that! He has so many tummy issues he really hates being put down and laying flat which is why we’re struggling 😔 x

I have a Velcro baby too! She was rolling from tummy to back really early and now she refuses to go down for longer than 5 minutes to even try! But she has really strong neck control so she might be sitting before she rolls. I was Googling it today as I was getting worried but some babies don’t roll until 6/7 months

that's good to know! I saw today that kicking their legs a lot when they're lying down is a sign they're ready to roll and ours is doing that but just can't get down flat long enough for him to try!

My 17 week old doesn't like tummy time on the floor but is showing signs if rolling and is sitting herself up if we lay her back. She has great head control
