2.5 tog sleep-suits

It’s getting colder! I put the heating on before bed but the room gets quite cold by 2am. Are people using a 2.5 tog sleep suit yet? My LO is currently in a vest, a baby grow and a swaddle. Not sure when to swap to a sleep suit 🫨

My room always gets so cold when the heating goes off 😭 She currently wears a 3.5 tog sleepbag , a sleepsuit, and a long vest depends what temperature my gro-egg says as sometimes she goes in a 2.5 tog instead xx

We’ve been in a 2.5 tog for over a month now. LG room teeters at around 16 during the night.

We’ve been in a 2.5 for about a month. Our room still stays between 19-21 degrees so she just goes into a long sleeve vest with the bag

Been using 2.5 tog sleep bag for a good few weeks. Room 16-18 at night. Currently just wears baby grow, will add vest when it gets colder.

We started using ours as soon as he was born. The bedroom is around 16-18 degrees so he has been sleeping in a sleepsuit and a 2.5 tog sleep bag which he seems to love. I think I'm going to start adding a vest too though x

Ok thank you all! We have decided baby grow, no vest and 2.5 tog sleep suit (it is armless though) 🫶🏻 hopefully she is not cold 😮‍💨

Been using a 2.5 tog for about 3 weeks now as our bedroom hits 14°c at 2am ish.
Best ones I've found are from Next as they have arms and are extra long in the legs as my little one has really long legs and most others I have are too short and he ends up sleeping with his legs bent.
He wears a vest, babygrow, mittens as his babygrow don't all have the fold over bit and the ones that do he ends up getting his fingers out of 🤦🏼‍♀️, socks and the sleep suit with arms xx

It's definitely 2.5tog weather! Our room goes between 19-21. He is in baby grow with the sleeping bag. He appears happy will add a vest if temp gets any colder.

I use a short sleeve vest, long sleeve pyjamas and a 2 or 2.5 tog sleepsack, my room is usually 15-19. I live by the saying “a cold baby will cry, a hot baby could die” little one will let you know if they’re too cold and uncomfortable!!x

We are in one, but we also live in Canada’s Arctic lol. She is wearing footie pajamas underneath

I put my baby in a 2.5tog sleep suit the other night. He seems fine in it with just a vest underneath. I found they are quite difficult to get on and off though so I think I’m gonna stick with a sleep bag 😂😂

We've been using a baby grow and 2.5 tog for a while now. Room starts off at 22/23 but drops to 20 in the early hours. He feels the cold at 20 but I'm scared to put him in an extra layer because the guidance says the room isn't cool enough yet

My LB is always cold so he’s in 2.5 and a long sleeve onesie his room is 20 x

Ok tried the 2.5tog sleeping bag last night but she went crazy as her arms were out! She hasn’t figured her arms out yet so they were flying everywhere and I had to resort back to the swaddle. I’ve brought this for next day delivery, hopefully solves the problem and keeps her warm 🫶🏻 https://www.johnlewis.com/purflo-swaddle-to-sleep-baby-sleeping-bag-2-5-tog-minimal-grey/p5919822

The guidance is purely guidance. Mine was waking constantly through the night with his room at 18-20 and he was in a vest, sleepsuit and 1.5. I changed to a 2.5 and he instantly slept better as he obviously prefers being toasty.

My 12 week old wears a long sleeve vest, sleep suit and 2.5 tog bag. My room is around 17 degrees. She sleeps through 10/11 hours straight no wake ups . X

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵
