Blood clots post partum bleed

I had one huge one and the next day the bleeding was like a very very light period this happened 4 days postpartum now I am also 6 days postpartum

How big was the clot ? I think it’s not a cause for concern unless it’s as big as/bigger than a lime. In any which case if you’re concerned call your midwife

it was big, but not as big as lime

it was just one big clot. May be I will just need to keep an eye for more.

they say bigger than a golf ball is concerning but i am prone to large clots in periods so when i told my HV she said that as long as it’s normal for me then it’s nothing to worry about! if it’s unusual for you maybe mention it, but i’ve heard of many people getting large clots at least once in pp bleeding. when i had mine the bleeding pretty much subsided a day or so later so it was probably just old blood clumped together in my case.
