Contractions

FTM 40+4, had my sweep 3 days ago and was 2cm dilated. She did a stretch and sweep and I’ve been having regular cramps and contractions since then that have gradually been getting worse and more regular each day. I’m finding them uncomfortable but bearable, they are getting closer together for periods sometimes about 6/7 mins apart lasting for a minute. Do i just wait until the pains too much? Then ring my MAU? I haven’t lost waters or any plug that I’ve noticed

I was exactly the same as you with my first. I was 40+5. Had a sweep. Gradual increase in level of pain over the course of a couple of days to the point they were every 30 minutes. I rang triage. I told them I was struggling and wanted some codeine or something, fully intending them to send me home. They checked me, I was 5cm dilated and sent straight round to delivery! Waters didn’t break and plug didn’t go until 20 minutes before baby was born. Ring them! 6 minutes apart is very regular xxx

I had a sweep on Monday afternoon and immediately had period like pains that got stronger over the afternoon. By 5pm I was 4cm and in early Labour, my little boy was born on Tuesday morning! My waters didn’t break and had to be broken in Labour but I lost my plug on my own about 30 mins before the sweep!

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

i really want another baby

i am merely a few months pp but i want another baby, but i am scared of the age gap (2 under 2) and also with everything going on in the world i just think its not the best idea at the moment but i am having crazy baby fever and miss having a newborn🥹

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Has anyone ever had pain in the bone at the bottom of the lady area?

How I can only describe it is I feel like I have a fracture or the bone is broken right at the bottom of my vagina bone obviously don’t think it’s to the extent but that’s how it feels. I had it in my last pregnancy and the pain went few months postpartum now it’s back again with this pregnancy. These are the results that u e googled I think I may have the first one has anyone every had this or something similar

Period like cramps

I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Homebirth?

I am thinking I want a homebirth (second baby) for a few different reasons but my husband is very against it, he is worried about things going wrong and we are a 30 minute drive from the hospital. Has anyone been in a similar position and what did you end up doing? Any advice? 🙏
