Hi everyone. I was wondering if you can tell me about your experience with midwives, which clinic? Im with one right now but I feel that we are not clicking at all and would like to change it. Thank you 🌷

I’m sorry to hear that you are finding that it’s not working with you with that particular clinic.

I was with Seventh Generation, they are located right on top of the Toronto Birthing Centre. I was under their care for both my pregnancy. Every midwife I met and students were so kind. I really enjoyed my experience with them.

I went to Riverdale Midwives for both my pregnancies and had an amazing experience both times. Most recently I was with Amanda and Kylie and loved them both! The after care with a midwife is amazing as well. I hope you find one you click with!

I did north don river midwives, absolutely loved them!

I'm with Kensington and love them

I was with Midwives of East York and I loved them, all the midwives i had were great and understanding and made sure to listen to what I had to say/concerns/worries.

they were kind and tried to actually connect

I loved my midwives at midwife alliance in south etobicoke!

I went to North Don River Valley, and I highly recommend them. 😊

If you're in the Markham/Scarborough area, I suggest Trillium Midwives. I refuse to move until I'm done having kids because I wouldn't want anyone else supporting me through my pregnancy. Oxsana is the sweetest lady. She is so well-versed in a number of areas. I could ask questions about anything, and she would answer without judgment.

I also felt like she genuinely cared about my family and my baby. Her home visits postpartum were amazing.

I second North Don River Valley! They were amazing.

I did Seventh Generation and loved the experience. Especially the fact that they come to your house after birth. I enjoyed having a relationship with only a couple providers versus potentially seeing a different OB at birth. FYI midwives depend on where you live - each has their own catchment.

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Worth the wait and pain. Baby girl arrived at 7:15 this am weighing 7lbs 6oz. She is so calm and chill.

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

I am so done with pregnancy !

Everything i do hurt . I sit down / i stand up / i walk / i lie down. I am in pain ! I am tired ! His mouvement hurt down there like electricity chock ! My back is on fire ! If i walk more then 5 minutes i feel like i am going to die ( low ferritine) the acid reflux is crazy . I mean i can’t and don’t wanna do this no more . Only 31 weeks !

Growth scan

So had my 28 week midwife appointment- all good but after measuring bump- I’m now waiting on a scan within a few days as bump is measuring small I’m not worried as I am guessing a tape measure is hardly accurate but
For anyone who has been in a similar position- what was the outcome after the scan? Was the baby on the smaller side ?
Was baby measuring normal?
