I follow takingcarababies and my baby just turned three months old. Today I noticed her wake windows were really short. They were an hour each time. I don’t know if that’s something I should worry about, but I know as babies grow their wake windows should get longer too.

Its probably a short regression or growth spurt, 3 month olds can have wake windows from 1-1.5 hours typically. My baby did the same, for a few days to a week her wake windows would be less than normal and then they would expand past what they were before that. She just needs more sleep for the growing she's doing 😁

it just started today and usually we do a few activities during her wake windows but she wanted to nap earlier than what I was used to. So I just went with it.

Check out the app Wonder Weeks. There’s a pretty big leap around now and babies are sleepier & fussier than usual. As the leap progresses, this will be corrected back to longer wake windows.

my baby will sometimes take 25 min naps but sleep through night, she is 3 months

This app is highly accurate for me there have also been numerous polls on here and almost everyone said it was not accurate for their children, just gave me anxiety for no reason 😭

It’s not accurate for me 😭

I also noticed my LO went backwards in wake windows recently. I also assumed something was wrong but I’m coming around to the idea that it’s probably developmental and I’m easing up on it

I’m okay with her napping a little more because then that’s means she’ll be fussy again later. 😭
