Big girl cot

I want to transition my little boy to his own room (he’s 4 months) but I’m worried about it for some reason, we have a sound monitor and a sensor pad but I feel awful for doing it. My floor boards are creaky and so is our bed so any sort of rolling over wakes him up

I put my little boy in his own room at around 3 months as my husband has asthma and the coughing kept waking my little boy up. It took him time to get used to it but he sleeps so much better and longer now, I was so nervous at first and was checking his monitor or going in to check him every 15-30 minutes but it’s been over a month now and it’s better for us all.

try it and see. I really want to move my lo as we disturb him so much but he’s going in with his sister so we need to organise it all and order new beds before we can otherwise he’d be moved 😂

I’m sooo scared to but 100% know I need to move my boy into his own room & cot as he clearly wants more room and we’re disturbing him. We’re thinking of doing it tonight (he’s 5m tomorrow)
I just don’t trust the monitor 😂 he naps in there but with the sound machine the monitor doesn’t seem to notify me when he wakes (as he’s not very loud!) and he doesn’t cry or get louder for about 1/2hr after waking??!! I’m constantly checking the monitor when he naps!

worst case it doesn’t work and you try again another time. My motto with everything 😂😂

Wow I don’t think I can bear this until she’s at least 6 months - I would be so panicked about SIDS 😪

Hey, it’s this one! 😊 it’s nothing fancy but I can see and hear her on it. There’s also a button so you can talk to baby through the monitor xx

I’ve found that using a Google nest camera is better than a baby monitor, you can set them up so that when it detects motion it sends a notification to your phone. I’ve also got an external smart home app so all my speakers and displays broadcast a ‘baby awake’ message when there’s movement in his room

I’m the same as you. We’re trialing him in it, so bedtime he goes into his own room with monitor and then when we come up and dream feed he comes back into our bedroom. My partner works shifts and he’s off from Tuesday next week and that’s when we’re going to go fully. I thought I’d be a lot more easy going about moving him but I’m not 😂. So I’ve said to my partner I need to know I can sleep during the day if I don’t sleep at night 😂. We’ve got this! X

I think we need to do this 😬 unfortunately we don’t have the space right now but my partner is a big snorer and little man wakes so frequently. I want to try him in his own room to see if it helps!

we’ve bitten the bullet and put him in there tonight! He’s on a different floor to us too which worries me, but I suppose that doesn’t make much difference in the grand scheme of things!
I thought I’d be more chilled too but I’m so nervous 🤣😭 awww good luck xx
