With my first I was so self conscious about feeding in public and would always sit in the corner somewhere and make sure I was fully covered by a blanket or Muslim cloth, it was so much effort and both me and baby would get so stressed!
My second is 5 weeks old and I will flop out a boob wherever I am if he needs feeding now! As long as you’re comfortable and confident then breastfeed anywhere!
Personally I think there is never an inappropriate time to feed your baby, if they’re hungry then they need to be fed, and faffing about in covering them up will only stress them out and also interfere with the bonding during feeding. Boobs were created purely for feeding babies so I don’t care if I inadvertently flash anyone whilst doing that. If anyone gets offended that’s on them, not you!

I felt nervous to so started with child friendly pub/restaurant/cafe and tried to get a table in the corner.
I’m comfortable doing it anywhere now (baby is 3 weeks and 4 days) and no one takes any notice.
Just make sure you wear clothes that have easy access.
I did consider using a muslin to cover up but I’ve never done that cos I don’t think it should be required. Baby covers most of you up anyway.

I think legally you can do it anywhere. I have used a muslin but it is v hard to see baby to help them latch like that. I tend to put a feeding pillow under the pram to bring if we go out to eat to make it a bit more comfy and if the pub has any chair with arms bugsy that!

first time i did it i was at a table in the corner of costa no one took any notice at all. since then i’ve gotten a lot of confidence and have just been doing it wherever he needs, obviously not in the middle of a shop or anything as i can’t just drop everything to feed but i’ll quickly find somewhere to go and sit. i’ve done it on the bus as well as walking to the bus, coffee shops are great as they are near enough everywhere, benches in shopping centres etc. it’s easier if you have someone with you to hold a muslin over while you get them to latch, but it’s possible to do it alone too it’s just down to getting the hang of it. you also don’t need to use a muslin anyway, it’s just what i’m personally more comfortable with! remember no one can tell you to stop, or to move! you have the legal high ground if it came to someone challenging you x

My first I was anxious to feed in public, with my second much less so! I usually try to find a quiet corner or park bench and do try to be discreet as I wouldn’t want to deliberately make anyone uncomfortable. You can get feeding tents that go around your neck and you can also tuck a Muslin under your bra strap. Wearing two vests is a good trick too, so you can pull one up and one down - helps to not expose too much skin! Most people are very accepting these days I wouldn’t worry too much
Thank you ladies we popped out yesterday but luckily baby slept all the way (1.5 hours) and I was just dreading the thought of him waking up as I just didn’t know what to do or where to go for a feed.. but a mamas gotta do what a mamas gotta do!

I've got a couple of nursing tops and nursing bras which make it as discreet as possible whilst easily accessible for you and baby. Feed where you're comfortable.
