Anyone comfortable/ able to share what they earned on maternity as a band 5? Or know where I can check what I’m likely to get? Did you take the 9 months or 12? I’m thinking equal payments over the twelve as I’ve read it works out more per month due to how the tax works but totally unsure! I work 28 hours a week. I’ve emailed payroll several times and not heard back yet and I’d really like to plan ahead, organising my leftover annual leave etc.

I am currently 5 months into my mat leave, I’m a band 5, 2 years qualified and worked full time 37.5 hours and I took equal payments over 12 months and currently getting just under 1.5k a month so if you’ve been qualified longer then your more than likely get something a bit similar

I’m band 5 with 5 years experience, 37.5hrs a week and taking £1800 including SMP x
did you take the 39 week or 52 week option? 🥰
I’m £19.26 an hour, so think I might come out with similar over the 39 week but head frazzled doing the math so I may be a bit off 😅

@Courtney Hi, jumping on but is that with deducting tax and national insurance each month. I'm middle band 6 but no unsocial hours, 37.5 a week and trying to work out what I will be getting x
At top of band 5 and 28 hours a week, having worked most weekend, I’m only getting 1.1k after tax and that’s over 39 weeks 😳
