My insurance covers a bunch of different breast pumps. I'm not sure if I should go with the same one I've already used before or something different. I was just wondering which brand or pump everyone else is going to use?

Spectra S2 is what I ordered

I got the Spectra S1 through my insurance I read and saw many reviews on it and seems to be an ideal first starter breast pump :)

I'm getting the spectra gold portable. I was very in between the blue spectra and the SG portable but I figured I'd get the more expensive one through my insurance and then if it doesn't work then I'll buy the blue one out of pocket.

I didn't even know all of this info and this is the one I ordered so thank you for sharing cause now I feel even better about my selection.

@Marissa no problem! And trust me, I learned from experience. The s1 wasn't cutting it for me and was very uncomfortable. So I ended up doing a lot of research into why and learned all about the motors, features, etc.
Another pro tip: make sure you measure your nipple and get the correct size flanges for you. This absolutely makes a difference in comfort, pain, and milk production.

thank you so much! I haven't received my pump yet cause I had some issues with tricare but it all just got cleared so it'll be on the way soon. I'm excited that I ordered the SG portable. And I'll definitely measure and hopefully can find the right size. Do you know of a good sizing guide to go by?

@Marissa you can Google it to be sure. But basically, measure just your nipple in mm. You can do CM and convert to mm. Then add an extra 3 to 5 mm for your flange size.
So for example, mine measure at 15mm, so I'm getting 19mm flanges.
I also have tricare and I know they cover a full extra set of pump supplies like the flanges, tubes, etc. So you can get it that way. I'm just going to order some off Amazon, though, and save my extra supplies for when I need them.
Also, idk if you know this but tricare will also cover 100 kiinde bags a month. They're super great to pump into and throw in the fridge or freezer.
You just have to order them through your insurance. Idk what site you used, but I use baby Pavillion, and they make it super easy.

thank you for all the advice. Yes I'm using baby pavilion and they've been great so far. I also ordered the Kindee bags and will be keeping up with getting them every month

Spectra S1, it's not completely covered by my insurance but based on reviews and comparison tests I've read it did great overall so I decided it was worth the extra money.
