Gestational diabetes

I’m 32 weeks and had a scan today to check growth, they’re sending me for a test tomorrow for gestational diabetes because baby’s belly is measuring big, and they put her current weight at 5lb 2. Anyone had this because now I’m getting worried about everything

Yes my baby b was mesuring at 9 pounds at 37 weeks he came out 7.8 it's not always accurate it shows an estimated weight dont worry i had the same worries I thought I would b pushing a 10npound baby out but had a planned c section due to his weight woreied too but everything was fine X

if she’s measuring big would it be likely I’ll be induced/ early c section? X

I had my baby at 39+3 days and it was a c section as they said it could be dangerous they talk about shoulder dystopia for larger mesuring babies. It would be after 37bweeks if it was x

But my baby did and does have a big belly that was accurate x

i had gd and all they wanted to do was check bub wasn’t getting too big etc and it meant i wasn’t allowed to give birth past my due date (went in to be induced). they don’t like you to go over because if baby is bigger it can be a higher risk of shoulder dystopia. try not to worry too much though, although my scans were fairly accurate in my daughters weight, they are also known to be incredibly off

So interesting! Gestational diabetes is always tested in the States. Scans are notoriously inaccurate. A suspected large baby on a scan is not a good reason for induction or c-section if that's not something you want.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
