I have my whooping cough jab on Thursday and just wanted to know what to expect.. is it just a normal injection or is there more to it? Also can I go about my day as normal once I had the jab?

Yep normal injection, was over in a few seconds. And yes you can go about your day after, your arm will prob be a bit sore and you may feel a bit rough later in the day but not everyone does

Sore arm for a few days but otherwise fine. I’d get it in the opposite arm to the one you prefer sleeping on

I had mine and unfortunately felt quite run down the next day (but this is pretty common with a lot of vaccines so I was expecting it might happen) but other than a bit of an achy arm on the day I was fine to get on as usual!x

I had mine a few weeks ago and felt totally fine I felt worse from having flu jab! Try to let your arm hang down when they do it because if you tense the muscle that’s when you get more sore (I’m a nurse haha) x

Honestly mine was absolutely fine - no symptoms just a slightly sore arm for a couple of days! I just got it done on my lunch break and was fine going back to work straight after x

They usually do the whooping cough vaccine as a combi vaccine so it also contains tetanus and diphtheria. A bit of a sore arm is pretty much all you might get x

No after affects but like above just a sore arm for a few days it’s not a bad jab
