For us we had to call up get a form register baby with the surgery which takes 7-12 days then call up and book in for postnatal appointment which they do at 8 weeks and they also do baby’s first lot of jabs. I’d give your gp a ring and ask what the procedure is for yourself and little one xx

Same experience as Ruby had

Mine made the appointment for me but it seems to differ between surgeries.

I did it all myself, didn’t trust the surgery to set it up as I was worried they would forget

at the postnatal check did they do the jabs then aswell, only cause my gp offered telephone appointment I’ve requested face to face as my LO will be 8weeks on the appointment date I have rescheduled

all ours have been booked for the same day we go see the dr first for the postnatal then straight round to nurse for little man’s jabs. Was told this is just how they do it now not sure if they just meant my particular surgery or in a general term so I’d ask your GP practice what’s the plan going forward ect for some better clarity xx

week 6 should be checks for your lo and for you (separately)
Week 8 - jabs

I contacted the surgery for the doctor one but her health review with the 0-19 team them text me

My appointment was made for me. I didn't have to do anything. I had a text sent to my phone of the date and time of my appointment

I had to book my own and it was a pointless phone call and then I had to go in anyway to go back on contraception so then could get my blood pressure
