Omg FIRST TIME SLEEPING THROUGH

Sharing this incase it helps.

My LO wakes usually 7 and was going bed 7:30/8 with one 2 hour nap at 12-2. Yesterday we changed this to a nap at 11:30-12:30 and he went to sleep 6:45 and slept the whole night until 7am.

It may be a fluke but we got a sleep consultant who recommended we did this.

FIRST NIGHT SLEEPING THROUGH IN 18 months 😅

This is good to read. It’s also hard when people say shorten their nap and they will sleep better then others say don’t shorten their nap because then they will be over tired, doesn’t help with their development/ brain etc.
my girl naps 1-3 and goes to bed 19:00/19:15 and wakes up any time between 06:30-07:30.

If she wakes early from her nap then she will chill in her cot till I get her and same for the mornings

we start bedtime 6pm with a bath etc then lay him down 6:25 and he takes 20 mins to nod off still but so much calmer x

How’s his behaviour and mood during the day? My boy gets extremely grumpy and really difficult to handle when he’s too tired 😩

my LO never really seems tired or grumpy but he has a lot of tantrums at the moment. Going in the garden helps this xx

No kissing

Those of you who didn't let anyone kiss your babies, when did you start to let them?

I've had a no kissing rule since my LG was born, which was fine at the start but there have been a few incidents lately where her grandparents have kissed her where we have had to say something. One of these incidents she ended up in hospital with bronchiolitis and the other grandparent suffers from cold sores so I'm uncomfortable with her ever kissing my LG if I'm honest.

I just want to protect her but my partner thinks there needs to be a cut off point where we say it's ok.

Co-Sleeping

I’m seeing alot of mums mentioning co-sleeping, at my hospital they had us sign a paper saying we wouldn’t and all the risks of it.

I’m just curious why there is so much negative on it when it seems it’s a positive in some cases I’ve read.

Can’t hold a conversation with my 2.5 year old

He only started really speaking a few months ago and while I know he knows a lot of things, follows instructions so well, I still can’t have a conversation with him.

At most I’ll get a couple words stung together and almost always they are just words I have said and he is repeating them back.

I try to ask him about his day or what we just did and he’ll just repeat it back. He even does it with strangers when they have said hi guys, he’ll repeat it back to them or say hi followed his own name and he’ll do this with us too.

I really thought once he started speaking that we can finally talk, but it’s just him repeating and not really responding

What time do you put your baby to bed?

My baby is 6 months and her bedtime is 5:30-6pm whenever I look online it says this is too early but she gets so tired and cranky and wakes up early if it’s any later. Would love know what time is everyone else’s bedtime?
