Has anyone told their work about their pregnancy? I know it's early on to tell but I'm worried about the Christmas party :/

Hey Ali, I’m hoping to wait until February as I’m concerned about being overlooked for progression opportunities as soon as it’s known. Even if it’s at a somewhat subconscious level.
For the Christmas party, my plan is to go along and take a few sips of a glass of wine until I get a chance to go to the bar and ask for a sparkling water with fresh lime, which people will just assume is a vodka soda lime (as it’s something I would have often drank anyway).
I won’t go out of my way to say it, but to some colleagues that I’d be somewhat close to, I might say I’m taking it easy tonight as I have loads of other social event over the few days around the Christmas party

I told my manager when I was 7 weeks but she’s super sound and the main reason for me
Being I had a miscarriage previously and it effected me
A lot in work and I didn’t tell anyone so it was good to have the support. Had my 12 week scan today so I’ll probably tell those I’m close to just before my Christmas party. I should say I had a panorama test done 2 weeks ago not I hadn’t done that I might have waited until The anomaly scan but I’m
Already showing

Thanks for the advice! I think I will try to wait for February and be sneaky with my drinks at the Christmas party, try to stay out of rounds etc. Its kind of nice for me and my partner to have this little secret between us for as long as we can.

you can get so ma y more non alcoholic drinks now it’s great. So easier to be sneaky 😂
