Curse words!!

Children do what you do not what you tell them to do. Lol. So start saying the new words and say them repeatedly and make it a habit and hopefully she will jump on the bandwagon and forget your old ways. Lol

My 2 yr old started saying shoot and crap, (I know those don’t seem bad to most but here we are) so we’ve switched to, ‘oh sugar snap peas!’. I think it’s fun for all of us to say lol

My friend was telling me someone has this issue and started saying four foot snake instead of ffs! 😂 found it quite funny but I don’t know if it’s so helpful when everyone will assume the kid is saying ffs anyway! 🙊

I just ignore it, saying stop it or reacting big reinforces it. My son was saying “fuck” and I kept saying “fox? You want the fox?” And putting a fox song on the TV

I've always cursed like I'm being censored in The Good Place. Fudging fudgecycles. Cheese and Rice. try replacing it with funny words and be consistent.

Start speaking kindly without cuss words and with manners. Change what you do and it will change what she does. You can still correct her as needed and encourage her when she speaks well. Compliment and thank you for using her beautiful words. ❤️

this method has really been helping. You’re so right. Kids also like to see your reaction when they say or do certain things. Her using curse words have been reduced already. Thanks for helpful advice

I honestly don’t curse a lot. If anything when driving is when I catch myself saying wrong things. I will be mindful to censor . She’s already well mannered and says please and thank you. I love you. Once potty words get eliminated she’ll be fine . But yes I am filtering myself
