Being a “fun” mum

Does anyone else feel incredibly guilty about not being a fun mum?
I don’t seem to have the mental or physical energy to be running and playing on top of the fighting to get her basic needs met. My daughter is very strong willed just trying to get to nursery is a 30 min challenge at 9 am.
I see her with my bf or my siblings playing and laughing and wish I could be that mum. I try my best. But days like today where I am exhausted from a chest infection miles away from any support or help. Playing is the last thing I can do yet I feel extremely guilty that all I did was meet her needs.

There’s a study that says moms gets treated the worst by their kids. I do so much for my daughter and it feels like she gives me such a hard time and I’m with her all day, then her daddy comes home and all of a sudden she’s agreeable(still not with me, just with him) and playing and having fun. Not to knock my daughter cuz she does show me love and play with me but she also gives me the hardest time so it’s hard to have the energy for all of that all the time. Dont beat yourself up, just appreciate the moments when you can and revel in the moments when you can have a break because someone else is playing with her

what’s the fix for this? 😂

Yes lol especially being a single mom now lol their dad lives right next to his moms so they get nana and a bunch of kids to play with when they’re over there hard to compete with. I have to do the actual parent stuff while being there is just play. I felt guilty a lot in the days I chose not to get up and play also.

I'm not the fun mom either. I'm always too tired to do anything so I'm the cuddle one. If she wants to watch something on the TV or with me then we sit on the couch together with a bowl of popcorn and watch something.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
