Mamas! Need any advice you can give!

Going in to the hospital to be induced in 2 1/2hrs!! Getting very nervous but really trying to stay calm! I need any positive vibes or advice to remind me of or any good induction stories! It will be my due date and we’re ready for this little guy but last week I still was only 1cm dilated. Not holding my breath that anything has changed but hopefully! 🤞🏼 but praying for a good, not terribly long experience!

i got induced 11/12 at 9:30pm. i was only 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. I got two rounds of cytotec and had my son 12 hours later and only pushed for 6 minutes! I didn’t even need the pitocin because my body progressed so fast! sending you positive vibes. you got this mama!! i was so nervous going into it but i had the best experience possible!

My induction started 11/13, took 4 does of cytotec starting at 9pm. Two doses of 25 mg and two doses on 50 mg. 9:30p on 11/14, my water broke during a contraction and on 11/15 at 2:57a baby girl was born.

I didn't know I was going to be induced but went in due to stomach pains which were being caused by my gallbladder. I went into open minded and knowing things may not go as I want. I believe that helped. Just know you got this and our bodies are amazing!

I got induced 11/13, wasn't dilated at all nor was little girl engaged, pretty much nothing ready yet. After 2 doses of cytotek, my body went into labor without needing pitocin, I got an epidural at 4cm dilated. My OB decided to break my water since my baby's heart rate was dropping after contractions- i went from 4cm to 10cm within 15 mins and baby girl was born very soon after (within the hour, I wasn't tracking time by this point).

I have a paper with mantras given to me- it says things like "My body is ready and able to give birth to my baby". Whenever I got scared or started to doubt myself, I would take a breath and repeat that back to myself to keep calm.

The calmer you keep yourself, the better the overall experience will be as stress and/or fear can make pain worse, I find.
