My 4 month old boy is refusing to eat. For the past 2 weeks or so he has been fussy at feeding time. But the past 2 days have gotten worse. He won’t take bottle or breast and cries and arches his back when you try. Anyone else experiencing this or have any solutions? We thought he may be teething so we’ve tried Orajel, frozen milk pops, and even Tylenol. But he still refuses to eat.
We have his 4 month pediatrician appointment later this week but may need to move it up if this continues.

He could have thrush, tongue &/or lip tie, not be getting enough milk or preferring bottle, just off hand. It could be a myriad of things. Good luck!

Has he been pooping regularly? Is it possible he is constipated? I wouldn't wanna eat and I'd be fussy as hell if I was constipated lol

My son did this when he had severe gas or acid build up. Ecspecially the arching of the back. Windi’s and gas drops and massages often helped!

Yes! My lo did it last weekend. She seemed constipated and gassy and refused to take the bottle even after usual 3 hrs mark. We assumed her capacity increased but also noticed some reflux around that time. Baby cried alot and refused everytime we brought the bottle to her mouth. Finally my husband turned off the lights, we covered the bottle in a towel, made her sleepy and then gave it to her and she chugged a 5oz bottle in 10 min! Since then we have been covering her eyes or offer the bottle as soon as shes waking up from her nap, otherwise its next to impossible to feed her. Let me know what your ped says!
