Anyone know if it's ok to have more than 4 weeks between immunisations?

Hey, so I think it's alright, but you obviously don't want to push it out too long either. I had to chase my GP too for the second batch, turns out they'd forgotten to make his second apt on the system and had been missed off the clinic list (😡) it will be 5.5 weeks in between and the clinic nurse said it's grand and they do often vary a little bit. You're just right to chase though, it shouldn't be so hard!!

The silly thing is, we had three more letters with appointments for 8 week jabs come and I had to keep phoning to say he'd had them. It's only because I looked carefully that I didn't assume it was the 12 week ones.

4 weeks is the minimum time period they want between jabs, but try to keep it under 6wks if you can so that the immunity they have got doesn't wear off before the next set. (Not the end of the world if it has to be longer due to illness or something, but it is considered best practice to be 4-6wks.

I’ve had my daughters first jabs tonight and was told to make an appointment as I left, was the same with my eldest daughter too. If there is anyone on reception when you come out of your jabs next time I’d go and ask them to book it the next ones :) I know if I had to wait for letters from my doctor surgery nothing would ever get done as they are useless!!
