I would try a different bottle. Looks like the teet on that one is not working right. I used Dr Brown bottles which helps make air flow better and allows the baby to suck without too much pressure, causing a gas build up (swallowing too much air when feeding) and constant burping. I would recommend trying a dr Brown bottle and see if he latches better on that xxx good luck xxx

My boy did that too and he’s absolutely fine , my son did have a tongue tie thought which helped a little after

he might have a tongue tie ?

My boy done that one a size 1 teat in the MAM bottles. Started using size 0 Tommee Tippee and had no problems with leaking. We’ve also have a tongue tie which causes issues with latching x

Looks like a bad tongue tie

Check for tongue tie, if it is tongue tie go get it snipped

The teat.doesnt look to be in his mouth properly, have you tried a mamia one? They're more "breast shaped" also the bottle should be held at a 45 degree angle so that the teat stays full at all times so he's not getting any air in when he drinks

Get checked for tongue tie! Drs won’t pick up on it

I would try different bottles, mam ones were best for us. Also try a more upright position but head slightly back to see if that helps

Try feeding baby sat facing you, support back of the head and with the hand holding the bottle create a V shape with first two fingers, place the two outstretched fingers under the jaw/chin with the teat in between. Our son had a tongue tie and we were advised to feed like this until he got stronger

He’s been checked - no tongue tie.

I had very similar with my little girl and was fobbed off by all professionals and told well she's gaining weight. My little girl gulped, took in air, had bad wind, occasionally sounded like she was choking on her milk. So I started on mam bottles, then tomme tippe, then advent and then dr brown bottles yes it's expensive but unfortunately it was a bit of a see what bottle suits her better she still leaks a little milk now but after 8 week check I was sent to the hospital to check her for something else and I explained to the doctor about her feeding since birth and he thinks that the roof of her mouth is quite high so she may struggle feeding as she can't get the teat to go where it should so struggles feeding. But if her weight stops increasing or she feeding less etc then to get in touch with the GP . If you have an infant feeding team you could always get them to advise too . I was recommended to try the unbranded cheaper bottles too xx

Nursery

Hey mummies and daddies, has anybody got experience with baby not getting used to nursery? My daughter started at 12 months (a month ago) and still has a meltdown every time we drop her off. How long until it settles? I worry that she’s just not happy there :(

1st night home

Gave birth 3 days ago, very traumatic. Lost a lot of blood, didn’t get induced as planned.

Girl is very sensitive to startle reflux, we have had 1.24 hours sleep last night as she won’t settle in her next to me crib.

We have tried swaddling which didn’t work and a grow bag. She is doing it every 30 seconds and scares herself. Bottled fed as BF for the first 2 days after birth but I cannot continue. Does anyone have any solutions?

Sleep regression

Hate to be this person as I see so many babies/mamas on here being affected by this sleep regression but my baby is 20 weeks on Thursday and so far, we haven’t really struggled with nighttime sleep, she sleeps through and has done since 10 weeks. We are only really struggling with daytime naps (being super short). Has the nighttime sleep regression been delayed for any one else? Or have I just got really lucky?

Sleep😩

Not sure whether anyone’s in the same boat, but I’m on about week 5 of sleep regression! LO is 4.5 months, his daytime naps are mostly ok, he’s sleeping from around 7:30/8pm until midnight/1am ish, then from 2ish he’s up every hour? Not seeking feeds just cuddling and rocking back to sleep.
He woke up at 5am for an hour and a half this morning, then slept 6:30-7:30, now seems to want a nap again? I follow his cues and he sleeps/ naps on demand. We have a bedtime routine of bath, story and feed.
He’s exclusively breastfed and we’re co sleeping for now to get through this rough patch (he is completely rejecting his NTM crib).

I know that they struggle to tie their sleep cycles together esp early hours of the morning, so it makes sense as to why this is happening but I guess I’m just looking for some advice (I mention it to family but just get the typical “try formula and putting him in his crib, try a higher tog sleeping bag he might be cold”. ) We have tried one bottle of formula before, it didn’t work and tbh I don’t want to give him formula yet!

Thankyou!!

Refusing milk

My babies nearly 11 months. And suddenly gone off drinking milk before sleeps. Any one else having this issue? He has milk before bed but not half as much as he used to, and sometimes before naps he flat out refuses it. Is this just him getting older?
