My son has always slept with his mouth open, even after we did his tongue tie and lip tie release at 3 months. I'm not sure how to get him to close it. I have tried pushing it sometimes lightly while he's sleeping but it just opens back up. I've heard mouth breathing can cause issues in the future so not sure if I need to speak to his pediatrician about it.

Yes she does but she doesn't breath through it her father sleeps with his mouth open she got that from him

my boys are the same way, especially my 5 yr old and my 2 yr old

I would see an ent if you are concerned my son was this way and it turns out his adenoids were blocking 80 percent of his nasal passage. He didn’t have the surgery til he was 3. Now he sleeps so much better.

Yes my son has always been a mouth breather and he’s 9 months old and has. Maybe try a dummy if he’ll take it.

I wish he would take one but he never has. He spits them out.
