I am 29 weeks and one week ago I had bright red bleeding. I was admitted for 3 days and discharged once it stopped for 48 hours.
Since then, a couple of days later I had brown mucus discharge in the morning and was admitted again for 24 hour monitoring. I was discharged as I had no more brown bleeding and had the choice whether to stay on the ward for the rest of the pregnancy or rest at home as I live 10 minutes away from the hospital. I have a 13 month old at home, who I still breastfeed.
Two days later, I had brown mucus discharge again in the morning and has since stopped. My baby's heartbeat is strong, I feel her kicking often. I'm now at home, bed rest only. As I'm not having active bleeding, the hospital have been monitoring my baby's heart and checking my obs, which are all fine so I've been able to go home.
Has anyone else had the same experience where they have intermittent brown discharge for the rest of their pregnancy? Is it common for it to happen every few days?

Hey ! Firstly sorry that you have had a bleed and been admitted a couple of times- it’s never nice being in hospital. I had a placenta previa and was admitted to hospital for bleeding for 9 nights when I was 19 weeks. Since then have had no active red bleeding but get browny pink mucous discharge every few days for the last 6/7 weeks- especially after I go to the loo. For me this has been the norm now for the last few weeks and hope i don’t have another bleed 🧿🤞🏼

Thanks so much for letting me know and sorry you had to be admitted aswell. It is scary when you're not sure. I've been having brown mucus discharge now for the last 3 mornings. Not bright red blood. How many weeks are you now?

I’m
27 weeks now! I hope yours clears up but I think if it’s not bright red then it’s hopefully okay 🤞🏼

That's really reassuring to hear 💕 I'm 30 weeks now. I hope yours clears up too and you haven't had too much bleeding recently? Keeping my fingers crossed for each day 🤞🏻☺️
