Is it safe to give baby thawed breast milk from freezer past 24 hrs?
My husband was watching the baby and gave him the fresh milk I pumped before leaving instead of the thawed milk I asked him to give.
It just hit 24 hrs and baby’s next bottle isn’t for another 3 hrs.
Should I throw the thawed milk away or is it safe to give to baby?

Did you take it out of the freezer 24 hours ago l, because the 24 hours starts when it's fully defrosted, it can take 12 hours to defrost fully in the fridge :) so you could have up to 36 hours :)
thank you! That is comforting to hear. I get really emotional about the milk I pump and I’d hate to waste it.
it was completely thawed out this time yesterday.

I'd probably give it if it was me, :) I know I sterilise my pump every time and it's frozen the day it was pumped ect so I know there is no bacteria, it's unlikely to grow enough to make baby sick within a few hours of the 24 mark x
thank you!
