3/5 palpable at 41 weeks

Hey, I was told yesterday during my sweep, the baby is 3/5 palpable. Does anyone know what this means? Or has anyone got any experience with when they went into labour from being 3/5 palpable? Trying to avoid an induction that’s been booked in! TIA! X

I’d also like to know about this as I’m 3/5 and 40 weeks today. Also want to avoid induction. Have you had any sweeps? X

Just how engaged they are x

I think palpable is different to engaged, if I was 3/5 engaged I’d be in active labour. For palpable measurements it starts with 4/5 palpable and the max is 1/5 or 0.5/5 palpable which means the entire head is in the pelvis x

I’ve had two! If you’re 3/5 at 49 weeks without any sweeps, I think that’s a pretty good sign 😊

I think it’s the same thing in terms of engagement as Laura said, in medical terms we refer to “palpable” as to what you were able to feel when you touched the area

oh! It says online it’s the opposite to how they say 3/5 engaged as that would mean the baby is in the pelvis, and the max is 4/5 engaged, whereas the max palpable is 0.5/5 palpable 😩 so confusing!

Engaged doesn’t mean active labour - I was told 3/5 engaged about 3 weeks ago and still waiting at 40+2. I was told that as a FTM it’s common to be engaged early whereas second time you probably wouldn’t be until much closer to labour. Hope that helps 😊

I’ve also had two sweeps. I’ve been 3/5 since before sweeps but nothings changed since apart from loading my plug last week. Come on babies! X

Hiding my pregnancy tips

I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant and I’m only getting bigger by the week and my home environment isn’t the best because of two people who are constantly saying things behind my back and escalating things are not making me feel safe enough to express my pregnancy.
With that being said, for anyone who had to hide their pregnancy until they felt safe enough to show it to the world what did you do to hide it or protect your peace?

Have you had this experience ?

I had my anatomy scan last week and baby looks great! 🥹 Everything looked normal, which was such a relief. When I reviewed the official report afterward, I noticed a diagnosis code that said “Supervision of high risk pregnancy,” and of course that made me a little nervous.

I messaged my doctor about it, and she explained that technically I’m labeled “high risk” because of my starting pregnancy weight (206 lbs), but she reassured me it’s not something they’re actually concerned about in my case. She emphasized that everything looked great on the ultrasound, baby is healthy, and I’m doing amazing so far.

That definitely made me feel a lot better, but I’m curious—has anyone else been told they’re technically high risk just based on weight around 200 lbs? 🥴

What was everyones first signs of labor? Or how did it start? FTM and I’m unsure if I’m in the early stages of labor.

Post partum body pain

Was anyone else's body just destroyed after pregnancy? In a physical sense, not just worried about how it looks.

I am just in pain pretty much all over, I have shooting pains in my feet and ankles, I have what seems to be plantar fascitis and all sorts of foot issues causing me pain but my legs hurt up to my knees most days. I have awful back pain and shooting pains in my pelvis which I wake up with every morning. I'm also exhausted pretty much all of the time.

I used to gym 5/6 days per week lifting weights and now I feel like I can't even climb the stairs most days.

I just want to get back to living my life, not feeling crippled. Has anyone had the same?
