Refusing cervical checks

Has anyone refused the routine cervical checks at the end of pregnancy in the doctors office? I really don’t see a point in having them because I’m not high risk and last pregnancy I was 1 cm dilated for 4 weeks. I just don’t know how to go about telling them I decline.

I declined. All I said was “no thank you. I haven’t had contractions yet so no need”. It wasn’t a big deal

I refused and they tried to persuade me otherwise. You know your own body and own baby. Listen to your instinct. You’ll feel proud and empowered by sticking to your guns 💪🏼

with my first baby they told me it was just routine and yes it is to check to see how dilated you are but it doesn’t really prove anything else. From what I have read unless you are high risk and being induced it’s not necessary at all. They may or may not check you depending on when you will be scheduled to have your c section :)

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Hi guys so I’m 25 weeks today and I haven’t felt the baby kick at all yet at the scans she’s moving constantly that it’s hard to get the right measurements my first pregnancy was cryptic so I just want suggestions from one worried mother

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃
