I took my son to the doctor right before Christmas because he had the stomach virus going around but I noticed on his growth chart he is only 30.7 inches which is in the 7th percentile. Do you think this is something I should be concerned about? He has his 18 month appointment in 2 weeks and I am planning on bring it up. If you have had this same concern what happened for your child?

Bring it up for sure.

From the chart it looks like he is slowing down with growing. If I'm reading this right, a year ago he was 64th percentile? It looks like he's still growing, just not as fast as the "norm", which is just a way for health specialist to monitor children and make sure they are healthy. He may just be hitting a growth spurt later. Bring it up if you want, but if he's not malnourished, don't beat yourself up. It may also be a genetic thing. My oldest grows like a weed on steroids and doesn't have much fat on him thanks to my husband, while my youngest grows more on an "average" scale but is still holding onto his last baby leg roll at 20 months, like I did.
