Has anyone else's babies never come out of frequent night waking and cat naps? My daughter is waking up anywhere from 5-10 times a night and then wakes up most of the time when putting her down again. She cannot self settle at all and requires feeding to sleep or rocking which I'm trying to wean her off. She also has naps anywhere from 25-35 minutes but over the past couple days has had one 40 minute nap and 50 minutes which is amazing for her 😂. I'm going bonkers and was wondering if it's just my baby that's been broken by the 4 month sleep regression.

We have finally reduced night wake ups to sometimes 1 only however he always needs boobs to settle and he’s always up completely at 4/5am…

Yes us unfortunately…..he sleeps better at night with only one true wake up for feed BUT that’s because he’s in my bed so I hardly sleep as I’m not confident/comfortable re co sleeping
I keep considering CIO/ferber but I’m not sure I could do it…..
My concern is he just “needs” company/comfort for whatever reason as he’s my third and my other two didn’t have this issue at all….different babies=different people 😵💫😵💫🤷🏼♀️

It makes life unnecessarily hard and I’m struggling energy/temper wise daily by around 5pm with other family members 😢

@Sandra how do you reduce it?

@Layla we now cosleep (following lullaby trust) and it makes no difference. I just do it to make this a but easier on me but it doesn't help her sleep 😭

@Layla completely feel you! I'm pregnant too and the pregnancy fatigue has already hit so the multiple wake ups makes it so much worse. She only contact naps too so I can't even nap in the day 😭😭😭

Exaaactly the same situation here!

I’m in the exact same situation. Also co sleeping to make it easier for me too.

Sounds like you need to do some sleep training to get baby used to self settling!? I thought I could never do such a thing as hearing my baby cry physically pains me but I felt there was no option left! We did controlled crying, first he cried 30 mins then slept 11.5 hours (would have been up at least twice previously and I’d automatically feed him) then night two he didn’t cry at all and straight to sleep. We put him down on his tummy now too which he seems to prefer. If you’re mentally ready it’s worth it xx

@Ashleigh I really don't want to sleep train her, she's of the complete wrong temperament for it and it is known not all babies respond to it. We tried doing ferber before and it was a disaster and I didn't like the idea of exposure of high cortisol and the unknown impacts on the brain as a result. She's been through a lot of trauma medically, surgery at 4 months to remove part of her skull, so I think this has had a big impact on her and I feel mean putting her through sleep training after going through this as I think she does just need me. But I think I'd like to implement some softer methods, it's just so hard. If she had a different temperament and the circumstances were different I think I'd consider it, but I think with the way she is I struggle. But I hear it works so well for other babies and families! I'm not mentally there 😂 xx

oh god yeh I totally get that, poor little thing going through surgery so young! It definitely is such a personal thing so you just have to find the best solution, very very hard ❤️
